During the weeks of Feb. 10 to Feb. 23, South Berwick Police made 71 motor vehicle stops and one arrest. The department also gave out numerous warnings and towed several cars for violating the snow ban parking regulations.
A 35-year-old male from Sanford was charged with operating without a valid license at 8:22 a.m. Feb. 19 near Cumberland Farms and Route 236, according to Lt. Scott Stephens.
In addition, warnings were issued for eight illegally parked vehicles at the South Berwick Community Center at 4:58 a.m. Feb. 11, according to the log. Later that morning, three vehicles that violated the town’s snow ban parking regulations were towed from near the Norton Street Apartments, the log said. The snow ban is in effect on all South Berwick streets from midnight to 7 a.m. until March 31.
During this period there were 10 accidents, with no injuries reported:
