The first presentation on the MSAD 35 budget proposal for the 2025-26 school year will be made by Superintendent John Caverly at the March 5 school board meeting.
The Board of Directors has scheduled budget workshops for March 19, April 2 and April 16. Board workshops are open to the public but public comments will not be taken at that time, according to board Chair Joe Long.
“Public comment may of course be delivered at our regular board meetings,” said Long.
School board meetings are held at Marshwood High School at 7 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
The board will vote on a final budget package April 30, and the public will vote on that package at the district budget meeting May 12.
A final budget validation referendum vote by secret ballot will be held June 10.
