Note: This report covers four weeks, unlike the previous 2-week police log summaries, due to a delay receiving police logs during the holidays.

Warnings were issued in 13 locations during the first two weeks of December for violations of the winter parking ban, which runs Nov. 30 through March 31, according to the logs provided by the South Berwick Police Department.

Snow ban parking violations came to a halt during the second two weeks of December, when no warnings were issues, according to the logs.

A reminder of the town’s winter parking ban posted Dec. 9 on the town’s Facebook page warned drivers of the possible cost of parking on the street in winter.

“Regardless of snow, all vehicles are prohibited from parking on any street in town between the hours of midnight and 7am,” the post said, adding, “Each violation cost is $50 and possibly a tow fee.”

Also reported on the log, police made two arrests between Dec. 2 and 29.

A 19-year-old male from Rollinsford, N.H., was arrested Dec. 5 at 12:49 p.m. and charged with operating under the influence, minor transporting liquor, and violating conditions of release, according to Lt. Scott Stephens. The arrest was made at the South Berwick Police Department.

A 47-year-old male from Rochester, N.H., was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Dec. 16 at the intersection of Main and Norton streets during a motor vehicle stop and charged with attaching false plates, Stephens said.

In addition, the log from the week of Dec. 16 to Dec. 22 reported one sex offender registration.
