Police report 43 vehicle stops, seven accidents and an arrest

During the two weeks between Oct. 21 and Nov. 3, the South Berwick police log listed 43 motor vehicle stops and seven accidents; no injuries were reported. A 38-year old male from Portland was arrested Oct. 23 at the Police Department in response to a summons for operating under the influence, according to Lt. Scott Stephens.

  • Oct. 22 at 3:28 p.m., vicinity of Main Street near Town Hall – report taken
  • Oct. 23 at 9:58 a.m., vicinity of Route 236 and York Woods Road – report taken
  • Oct. 24 at 3:23 a.m., vicinity of Earls Road and Wild Rose Lane – vehicle towed
  • Oct. 24 at 4:15 p.m., vicinity of Route 236 and Portland Street – report taken
  • Oct. 25 at 1:27 a.m., vicinity of Route 236 and York Woods Road – report taken
  • Oct. 26 at 9:06 p.m., vicinity of Fogarty’s Restaurant on lower Main Street – report taken
