A man arrested last week in South Berwick for receipt and possession of child pornography has been released, according to Craig Wolff, assistant United States Attorney, District of Maine.
Kristen Carver was arrested April 14 and released on probation three days later, Wolff wrote in an email received by the South Berwick Reporter April 19 in response to a request for additional information.
“The government moved to detain him pending his trial, but the court ordered him released on Friday, April 17, under the supervision of U.S. Probation & Pretrial Services,” Wolff wrote.
The FBI office in Boston confirmed that Carver’s address was on Main Street in South Berwick.
