A 75-year-old transient male was arrested at 4:13 p.m. July 7 near Portland and Main streets and charged with misuse of 911 and criminal threatening. The same man was arrested the next day at 11:03 a.m. near at the corner of Portland and Main streets and charged with littering, according to Deputy Chief Scott Stephens. Details about the alleged criminal threatening were not available this week.
Also during the period from June 30 to July 13, a 42-year-old male from Eliot was arrested at 9:50 a.m. July 2 during a motor vehicle stop near Cumberland Farms on Route 236 and was charged with failure to appear in court; and a 40-year-old male from South Berwick was arrested at 9:17 p.m. July 7 on Warren Pond Road on a warrant from the Buxton Police Department (charges not indicated).
There were seven motor vehicle accidents reported during the two-week period, with no injuries logged:
