A new business development program launched by the Town was recently expanded to include entrepreneurs and artisans from North Berwick and Berwick.
Venture Forward, the program launched in partnership with Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, provides training and mentorship to new and growing businesses.
As of last week, 10 people from South Berwick and Berwick had applied. Meanwhile, the Town extended the application deadline to July 10 to encourage more participation.
The eight‑week free program provides hands‑on training and mentorship in strategic planning, marketing and business operations. Sessions run from Aug. 13 through Oct. 1.
Classes will be held in either the South Berwick Community Center or the South Berwick Public Library, according to Suzanne Esposito, town communications specialist.
