The Town received seven cost proposals from executive recruitment firms to assist with a nationwide search for a new town manager, with fees ranging from $8,000 to $26,000.
The Town Council will interview representatives from Municipal Resources Inc. of Portsmouth, N.H., Preacademic Partners of Livonia, N.Y., and MGT Impact Solutions of Tampa, Fla., on July 20 and July 22. The target selection date is July 28.
The selected firm will support the council in developing a job description; screening and interviewing candidates; verifying references and background information; and facilitating community engagement during the selection process.
Former town manager Tim Pellerin, who was hired in 2021, resigned effective May 29.
In town employment news, Britney Spencer will return July 27 to her former role as assistant to the town planner; and Interim Manager Jennifer Janelle has scheduled four interviews with candidates to replace Dawn Moreau, executive assistant to town administrators, who is leaving that position in August.
Vacancies on boards and committees
The Town has vacancies on the following boards and committees, and the council encouraged residents to apply to serve:
Board of Assessment Review, Community Art Committee, Conservation Commission, Downtown Revitalization Plan Advisory Committee, Historic District Commission, Library Advisory Board, Planning Board, Recreation Committee and Zoning Board of Appeals.
The council voted to reappoint Christy Woods to the Comprehensive Plan Committee and Daniel Maxton to the Conservation Commission. The council accepted the resignation of Mark Gagnon from the Building Committee.
