Police logs for June 15-29 list five arrests, 120 vehicle stops

Police logs for June 15 to June 29 list five arrests, 120 motor vehicle stops and seven accidents.

Deputy Chief Scott Stephens provided charge information on the arrests:

  • June 19, 11:49 p.m., 21-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with domestic violence assault during domestic disturbance on Agamenticus Road
  • June 24, 4:59 p.m., 23-year-old male from Berwick was charged with domestic violence assault during a domestic disturbance on Main Street
  • June 25, 6:20 p.m., a 27-year-old male from Rochester, N.H., was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol during a motor vehicle stop on Main Street
  • June 24, 6:53 a.m., a 45-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with operating with a suspended registration during a motor vehicle stop at Main and Portland streets
  • June 25, 8:59 a.m., a 58-year-old female from Kittery Point was charged with operating with a suspended registration during a motor vehicle stop near York Woods and Witchtrot roads

In non-arrest incidents, a juvenile runaway was returned home following an argument with parents on June 15, 10:52 p.m.; and a terrorizing/threatening call on June 29, 12:58 a.m., involved a civil issue over living arrangements, Stephens said.

There were seven accidents logged June15-June 29, with no injuries reported:

  • June 15, 7:55 a.m., Norton Street
  • June 22, 3:53 p.m., Norton Street
  • June 22, 5:17 p.m., near Lord’s Lane and Old Fields Road
  • June 24, 2:30 p.m., Route 236
  • June 27, 12:11 p.m., near Butler and Main streets
  • June 27, 3:02 p.m., Portland Street
  • June 29, 11:42 p.m., near Willow Drive and Springtree Lane
