Police report six arrests, 10 accidents and 108 vehicle stops Nov. 3-16

During the period of Nov. 3 through Nov. 16 South Berwick police made six arrests, one related to a domestic violence assault and five during motor vehicle stops, according to Deputy Chief Scott Stephens.

On Nov. 9, 5:15 p.m. a 25-year-old woman from South Berwick was charged with domestic violence assault during a mental health call at an Emery’s Bridge Road location.

Arrests during motor vehicle stops included a 32-year-old male from South Berwick charged with operating with a suspended registration Nov. 5, 4:51 p.m. on Paul Street; and a 51-year-old male from North Berwick charged with operating under the influence Nov. 12, 10:31 p.m. near Route 236 and Quarry Road.

In addition, police charged three individuals with operating without a valid license: a 38-year-old male from York on Nov. 11, 11:37 p.m. near York Woods and Witchtrot roads; a 19-year-old male from South Berwick on Nov. 13, 10:15 p.m. on Route 236; and a 65-year-old male from South Berwick on Nov. 15, 5:10 p.m. near York Woods and Witchtrot roads, Stephens said.

Ten accidents were reported, with no injuries listed:

  • Nov. 12, 8:31 p.m., Route 236 and Quarry Road (1 arrest)
  • Nov. 13, 8:19 a.m., Portland Street
  • Nov. 13, 5:15 p.m., Witchtrot Road
  • Nov. 14, 6:11 p.m., Route 236 and Farmgate Road
  • Nov. 14, 9:39 p.m., Route 236
