Police make 11 arrests from May 5 to May 18

During the period of May 5 to May 18, police made 11 arrests – five during motor vehicle accidents; three during motor vehicle stops; one for terrorizing; one for failure to appear on a criminal trespass charge; and one on a domestic violence assault charge, according to Lt. Scott Stephens.

Arrests during this period included:  

  • May 5, 11:30 p.m. – A 37-year-old male from Rollinsford was charged with operating under the influence during an accident near Main and Park streets.
  • May 5, 10:37 a.m. – A 14-year-old juvenile was charged with terrorizing at Marshwood High School.
  • May 8, 10:46 a.m. – A 34-year-old female from North Berwick was charged with failure to register a vehicle for longer than 150 days during a motor vehicle stop near Academy and Union Streets .
  • May 9, 1:38 p.m. – A 41-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with operating with a suspended registration during a motor vehicle stop on Witchtrot Road.
  • May 10, 8:57 p.m. – A 33-year-old male from Ogunquit was charged with operating under the influence and refusal to sign a summons to appear in court during an accident on Boyd’s Corner Road.
  • May 12, 11:16 a.m. – A 54-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with driving to endanger and false attachment of plates during an accident near Timber Mill and Belle Marsh Road. Two days later at 3:14 p.m. the same man was arrested on Boatyard Lane on a warrant for failure to appear on a criminal trespass charge.
  • May 14, 11:39 a.m. – A 38- year-old female from South Berwick was charged with failure to register a vehicle for longer than 150 days during an accident near Route 236 and Vine Street.
  • May 15, 9:40 a.m. – A 22-year-old female from North Berwick was charged with operating with a suspended registration during a motor vehicle stop near Norton and Main streets.
  • May 15, 3:47 p.m. – A 42-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident near Town Hall and Main Street.
  • May 18, 8:15 p.m. – A 19-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with domestic violence assault.

In addition to the five accidents with charges listed above, there were four accidents without arrests or injuries listed:

  • May 7, 6:26 p.m., near Odd Fellows Tavern and Portland Street
  • May 10, 9 p.m., near South Berwick Rod and Gun Club and Route 236
  • May 18, 2:28 p.m., on Pleasant Street
  • May 17, 9:18 p.m. near Spring Hill and Pond Road
