The South Berwick police log for Monday, Oct 7, through Sunday, Oct. 20, listed 47 motor vehicle stops and two arrests.
A call for a welfare check on Monday, Oct. 14, at Cumberland Farms on Route 236 resulted in an arrest and is “under further investigation,” according to Lt. Scott Stephens. No other information was provided.
One of seven accidents police responded to during that period resulted in an arrest Oct. 18, at 9:57 pm in the vicinity of Route 236 and Main Street when a 46-year old male from South Berwick was given a summons for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, Stephens said. There were no injuries, according to the lieutenant.
Police also investigated a a “terrorizing/threatening call” at 7:05 pm Oct.7 when a Main Street resident reported she “was receiving threatening voicemails,” he said.
