Candidates for local offices in South Berwick will participate in a Meet the Candidates night on Monday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. in the Town Council chambers at South Berwick Town Hall. The event will be recorded and available online afterward.
Candidates appearing are running for Town Council and the RSU 35 Board of Directors. Council incumbents Mallory Cook and John James are running unopposed, Cook for a third term and James for a fourth term. Heather Holland, also unopposed, is running for a second term on the school board.
The annual candidates’ event is sponsored by SmartGrowth South Berwick, a volunteer citizens group that supports community activities and commerce in the village center and is a program of SoBo Central.
The public is invited to attend or to watch the event on Zoom.
