Police report 3 arrests and 184 vehicle stops Feb. 23 to March 8

South Berwick police logs listed three arrests, 15 accidents and 184 motor vehicle stops from Feb. 23 through March 8.

Two drivers were arrested and charged with operating without valid licenses during separate motor vehicle stops, according to Deputy Chief Scott Stephens. A 34-year-old female from South Berwick was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 24 on Emery’s Bridge Road; and a 44-year-old female was arrested at 10:05 p.m. March 7 near Colcord and Portland streets.

In a third arrest, at 4:52 p.m. March 8, police charged a 44-year-old male from South Berwick with domestic violence assault at an Emery’s Bridge Road location, Stephens said.

A stolen vehicle call logged at 9:33 p.m. Feb. 25 was a domestic incident and police concluded no crime occurred, Stephens said.

On March 1 at 6:30 p.m., the log listed a missing person reported on Main Street. The elderly subject with dementia had walked away from their residence and was located unharmed and returned home, said Stephens.

  • March 1, 3:16 p.m., near Earls and Emery’s Bridge roads
  • March 2, 7:13 p.m., Route 236
  • March 3, 4:32, p.m., Route 236
  • March 3, 4:37 p.m., near Marshwood High School and Route 236
  • March 3, 4:48 p.m., Waterside Lane
  • March 3, 5:08 p.m., Colcord Street
  • March 3, 7:09 p.m., Dover Eliot Road
