Town councilors are hosting a series of coffee chats in Town Hall open to the public at 9:30 a.m. the last Saturday of each month.
The event is billed as “an informal conversation with your town councilors over a cup of coffee.”
Council Vice Chair Mallory Cook and newly elected Councilor Paul Schumacher will be on the third floor of Town Hall for the first coffee on Jan. 31. The councilors who will attend the Feb. 28 and March 28 coffees have not yet been announced.
According to the online flyer, “everyone” is invited to share “ideas, concerns and questions with your local representatives.”
This idea is “mimicking what the Town of Kennebunk has done for the past couple of years,” noted Schumacher at a recent Town Council meeting. Cook suggested calling the event “Coffee with Councilors.”
