Former town clerk Tyanne Giambusso says she gave the Town two weeks’ notice before leaving the clerk’s position, and that an article published Oct. 27 in the South Berwick Reporter included inaccurate information about her departure.
It is not correct, Giambusso said in an email to the Reporter, that she resigned “without advance notice,” as the article stated. She submitted a two-week notice of resignation on Oct. 16, she said, expecting Oct. 31 would be her last day but “was denied to work those two weeks” by a supervisor.
Contacted by the Reporter for comment, Assistant Town Manager Jennifer Janelle said, “I’m not going to argue that, but it’s a personnel issue and we cannot comment further.”
The Oct. 27 Reporter article has been revised and the words “without advance notice” deleted.
