Police report four arrests, 172 traffic warnings Sept. 22-Oct. 5

Police logs for Sept. 22 through Oct. 5 reported four arrests, 194 motor vehicle stops and 172 warnings, and eight vehicle crashes. All four arrests were made during motor vehicle stops or, in one case, a disabled vehicle call.

A 36-year-old female from Dover was arrested and charged with operating without a valid license during a motor vehicle stop at 11:10 p.m. Sept. 23 near Vachon’s Auto Detail on Central Street.

At 8:07 a.m. Sept. 24 on Main Street, a 25-year-old female from Arundel was charged with indecent conduct for urinating in public and with violating conditions of release during a response to a disabled motor vehicle call.

At 4:09 p.m. Sept. 28 on Emery’s Bridge Road, a 44-year-old male from South Berwick was charged with operating under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident by the quickest means.

A fourth arrest involved a 17-year-old juvenile charged with operating without a valid license and attaching false plates during a motor vehicle stop at 6:39 p.m. Oct. 1, near Cumberland Farms and Route 236.

Eight motor vehicle crashes occurred during the same two-week period, with no injuries reported:

  • Sept. 22, 3:15 p.m. on Main Street
  • Sept. 22, 5:56 p.m. on Emery’s Bridge Road
  • Sept. 27, 12:20 p.m. near Century 21 on Portland Street
  • Sept. 28, 4:09 p.m. on Emery’s Bridge Road
  • Sept. 29, 4:58 a.m. on Witchtrot Road (one arrest)
  • Oct. 2, 4:11 p.m. near South Berwick Post Office, Main Street
  • Oct. 2, 4:45 p.m. near M&T Bank, Norton Street
  • Oct. 4, 11:45 a.m. near York Woods Road and Route 236
