Residents of South Berwick and Eliot will get a chance to vote on the $35.8 million school budget for the Marshwood district in a referendum vote at the polls this Tuesday, June 13. Polls will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Next year’s budget for the MSAD 35 district received initial approval from the public in May at the annual district meeting. The budget for next year, as presented this spring by Superintendent John Caverly, is 3.4% higher than this year’s spending, mainly to pay for higher payroll and electricity costs and a new boiler.
